Chemical Peels in The Woodlands

Improve fine lines, acne scars, discoloration, and sun damage with chemical peels at Woodlands Medical Aesthetics Institute in The Woodlands, TX. Our medical-grade peels gently exfoliate to reveal smoother, brighter skin with minimal downtime. With light, medium, and deep options available, we customize each peel to your skin type, goals, and lifestyle—delivering safe, effective results for a refreshed, youthful look.

Chemical Peels Overview

Chemical peels are a proven, non-invasive way to refresh and improve your skin’s appearance. At our practice in The Woodlands, we offer light, medium, and deep peels tailored to your skin concerns and lifestyle. These treatments remove dull, damaged layers of skin to reveal a smoother, more radiant complexion underneath. Whether you’re targeting fine lines, sun damage, or uneven tone, our team ensures safe, effective care with minimal downtime.

How Chemical Peels Work

Chemical peels use naturally derived acids—often from fruits or plants—to break down the bonds between dead skin cells on the surface. This gentle exfoliation triggers your body’s natural renewal process, encouraging the growth of healthier, more vibrant skin. Treatments are quick and virtually painless, often completed in just minutes. As the outer layer peels away, smoother texture and a fresher glow emerge.

Benefits of Chemical Peels

From improving skin texture to reducing signs of aging, chemical peels offer multiple benefits. These treatments help fade dark spots, minimize acne scars, and smooth fine lines. Regular peels can also stimulate collagen production, promoting firmer, healthier skin over time. At Woodlands Medical Aesthetics Institute, we offer advanced options like VI Peels, which are safe for all skin types and deliver visible results with little to no discomfort.

Chemical Peels vs. Other Procedures

Unlike lasers or microneedling, chemical peels offer a more gradual, surface-level rejuvenation, making them ideal for patients seeking effective results without downtime. While laser treatments like Halo™ or MOXI™ reach deeper layers, chemical peels provide a gentler option for enhancing tone, texture, and clarity. Our aesthetic experts will help determine whether a peel or another skin rejuvenation method best fits your goals.

Now Offering VI Peels!

Safe for all skin types. VI peels represent the next generation in chemical peels. Each treatment is virtually pain free and includes a specifically formulated post peel kit that is essential to the treatment’s success.

VI Peels are great for:

  • Anti-Aging
  • Pigmentation

Before, During, and After Chemical Peels

What To Expect Before Chemical Peels

Before your treatment, we’ll evaluate your skin type and discuss your aesthetic goals. Our team will help you choose the right type of peel—light, medium, or deep. You may be asked to avoid certain skincare products or medications in the days leading up to your session to ensure optimal results and minimize sensitivity.

What To Expect During Chemical Peels

Chemical peel sessions usually take less than 30 minutes. After cleansing the skin, your provider applies the solution, which may cause mild tingling or warmth. Once the desired level of exfoliation is reached, the peel is neutralized or removed. You’ll leave the office with post-care instructions and, in most cases, very little redness or irritation.

What To Expect After Chemical Peels

Post-treatment, your skin may feel tight and appear slightly red—similar to a mild sunburn. Over the next few days, you might experience light peeling as dead skin sheds to reveal a fresher layer. We’ll provide you with a specialized aftercare kit to support healing. Avoid sun exposure and follow the care guidelines to achieve the best results.
